The World Watched As Jackson Hole Film Festival Turned Five

Jackson, WY– June 17, 2008 — Jackson Hole Film Festival, presented by the Jackson Hole Film Institute, closed its 5th Anniversary event (June 5 – 9, 2008) with audience numbers reaching more than 10,000 and revenue from ticket and pass sales increasing by 75 percent over 2007.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming - June 9, 2008 - The Jackson Hole Film Festival, presented by the Jackson Hole Film Institute, announced 21 winners at the 2008 Jackson Hole Film Festival Cowboy Awards last night at the Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson.

Jackson, WY and New York, NY – June 3, 2008 – The United Nations and the Jackson Hole Film Institute, the presenter of the 5th Annual Jackson Hole Film Festival taking place June 5 – 9, 2008, unveiled today that the theme of the 2008 Global Insight Summit will be “Children Without Childhoods.”

2008 Festival Artwork

Chuck Anderson’s work is a mix of analog and digital elements including collage, photography, hand drawn illustration and design.

Now 22 and currently hailing from Bloomington, IL, Anderson has been creating since the age of 18, completing work for clients like Reebok, Microsoft, Nylon, Sandisk, Nike, ESPN, and Mountain Dew.

The production of the film festival impacts the environment and contributes to global warming through several channels. The Jackson Hole Film Festival is a premier destination competitive film festival and a program of the Jackson Hole Film Institute, a non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower filmmakers and audiences through film and new media.

The 2008 Festival, June 5-9, will screen approximately 80 independent films competing in 7 competitive program categories. Provocative forum discussions and lively evening events enrich the Festival and give festival goers the opportunity to interact with filmmakers in a casual setting.
